BMC delivers high-quality products and services for the orthopaedic sector. We have been active on the Belgian market since 2003. Since then, we’ve worked every day to build a sustainable partnership with our professional customers and offer them three activities :
1. Subcontracting production
a. Workshop ‘bandages’: orthopaedic sewing workshop for your bandages made to measure
- lumbar supports, abdominal belts, orthopaedic corsets and all your other bandages made to measure
- mass-production of your bandages and components to make you stand out in the market: velcro strips, pelvic corsets, leg straps, arm abduction slings, pelvic belts, knee immobilisers, ice packs, pavlik harnesses, hip bandages, etc.
b. Workshop ‘insoles’: orthopaedic insoles made to measure
- cork & leather orthotics, EVA orthotics, sports orthotics, elegant orthotics, orthotics for children, orthotics for hallux rigidus, orthotics with heel cushioning and plantar fasciitis
c. Flexible Sewing Workshop
Due to a structural shortage of skilled sewing capacity, we are seeing a growing need among orthopaedic companies and other industries for flexible and experienced partners capable of providing custom-made solutions, production runs, components and repairs.
We also increasingly work for manufacturers in the following sectors : security, fashion and technical textiles. Our services cover small production runs, prototypes, pre-series, components and repairs. We work strictly according to specifications, with full respect for materials, delivery schedules and confidentiality. Both one-off assignments and long-term partnerships are possible.
2. Distribution of materials for orthopaedic workshops
a. Corset fabrics, elastics, steel loops, plastic loops, buckles & clips, velcro strips, ribs/strips, suspenders, scissors, etc.
b. Stainless steel strips, plastics, cushioning materials, plaster bandages, casting resins, foam resins, carbon and related materials, colouring paper, lamination fabric, etc.
3. Manufacturer of Corset Fabrics
BMC is the last remaining manufacturer of corset fabrics in the Benelux and one of the few still operating in Europe. Following the acquisition of our former supplier in 2024, we have continued this specialised craftsmanship in-house. Thanks to local production, we combine consistently high quality with short lead times and extensive technical expertise.
Our corset fabrics are used by orthopaedic companies and bandagists, corsetry and lingerie manufacturers, fashion houses, and costume workshops serving the theatre and opera industries. For these markets, we have developed three fabric types :
a. Corset Fabric : 100% cotton; 360 g/m²; available in cream, nude, black and grey
b. Lining Fabric : 100% cotton; 260 g/m²; available in cream, nude, black and grey
c. Broché Point : 95% cotton 5% viscose; 360 g/m²; available in cream, nude, black and white (Broché is also referred to as ‘Jacquard’; it is a fabric with a woven-in decorative pattern).
